Get creative and develop digital literacy in The lab

The Frankfort Public Library District (FPLD) houses a Lab space with crafting equipment that is used for library programs and patron projects.  FPLD cardholders who wish to use the Lab equipment may request an appointment using the form below.

We have four Brother sewing machines with a variety of accessories, including a walking foot and a quilting foot.

Silhouette Cameo

We have two Silhouette Cameo 5 cutting machines that can be used to cut digitally created designs from a variety of materials including vinyl and cardstock.  You can download the Basic Silhouette design software at Silhouette Studio.

Button Maker

The button maker can be used to turn paper images into 1.5-inch diameter buttons with a pin backing.

What does it cost?

Please see the Lab Material Fees sheet to view the current prices for Lab materials.  Patrons may bring their own materials, but Library staff will have final approval of all materials used with Lab equipment.

Are there any restrictions?

  • Lab User Agreement
  • Only Frankfort Public Library District cardholders may submit requests to use the Lab. 
  • Appointments may not exceed 2 hours.
  • Appointments will be scheduled based on the availability of staff and equipment.
