Adult Services Assistant (Part-Time) TWO OPENINGS

We are seeking two Adult Services Assistants who are passionate about working with people and enjoy working on a collaborative team. These positions provide readers advisory and reference at our Adult Services Desk and assists at our West End Desk, providing computer and technology support. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about popular adult fiction, movies, and media; familiar with Microsoft software, as well as, Google Suite; can provide patient and friendly instruction on the use of the Library’s database resources and streaming media on a variety of devices; and has strong research skills.

Assistant: 12 hours per week
Average Weekly Hours: 12. Consists of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. Hourly rate of $18.00 – $19.00 depending on qualifications.
Assistant: 16-19 hours per week
Average Weekly Hours: 16-19. Tuesday & Wednesday 1-9; at least one Saturday and Sunday a month. Hourly rate of $18.00 – $19.00 depending on qualifications.

Youth Services Librarian (Full-Time)

The Frankfort Public Library District is looking for someone who can dive into summer programming at our busiest time of year!
Our Youth Librarians handle programming, collection development, desk shifts, and some outreach.
The ideal candidate has a Masters in Library and Information Science from an ALA-Accredited program and a year or more experience in a Youth Department.

The ideal candidate will have customer service experience, or experience working with children, ideally both! We require two years of college or an LTA certificate.
