Grace Period Registration and Same Day Registration
If you miss voter registration deadlines, residents can register to vote at an Early Voting location (Grace Period Registration and Voting) or at their Polling Place on Election Day (Same Day Registration and Voting). Those who participate in Grace Period Registration or Same Day Registration and Voting must cast their ballots at the same time they register.
Important Dates

Will County: Please go to www.willcountyclerk.gov/elections/voter-services/ for important dates.
- February 17: Close of in-person registration.
- February 18: First day of Early Voting.
- March 1: Close of online registration.
- Tuesday, March 17: Day of Election. Polls are open at your day-of-election location from 6am to 7pm.
Drop Box for Will County
The Will County Clerk’s Office will locate ten ballot drop boxes across Will County. The Library is a satellite Drop Box site.-
The Drop Box will be located inside the Frankfort Public Library District at the entrance from Monday, February 9 through Monday, March 16.*

Will County residents are invited to vote early at our library for the March 17 Primary Election.
- Early & Grace Period Voting Dates and Hours at Frankfort Public Library District:

- Monday, March 9 – Thursday, March 13, 10am – 3pm
Election Day
- Tuesday, March 17, 6am – 7pm.
- The Frankfort Public Library District is a polling site for precincts 024 and 026.
- Voters cannot turn in their Vote By Mail Ballot to an Election Judge for counting on Election Day.
They can only surrender their Vote By Mail Ballot to the Election Judge and then request an Election Day Ballot to be cast that day. Surrendered Vote By Mail Ballots will not be counted. - Election Night Collection at Will County Clerk’s Office:
- Ballots must be collected at the close of polls at 7pm on Election Night.
- Ballots that arrive after 7pm will not be accepted at the Clerk’s Office for counting.
- Ballots received at the Will County Clerk’s Office after Election Day must be postmarked by Election Day. These ballots will be tabulated no later than the Provisional Count, scheduled for the second Tuesday after Election Day
