Design a 3D Snowflake Ornament

Design a 3D snowflake in Tinkercad. We will take you through the step-by-step process of creating a snowflake using Tinkercad. Tinkercad is a simple, online 3D design tool used by designers, hobbyists, teachers, and kids.

Be brave. Try something new. This class is open to adults and teens. Please sign up for a free Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com before this class.

Registration is required. Please register online or call 815-534-6173.  PLEASE NOTE: Frankfort Library card holders have priority registration. Non-FPLD patrons may register one week prior to each session.

We will print one snowflake ornament on our 3D printer for each participant in the weeks after the class.

Open Learning Lab Orientation

Get orientation to new technology you case use at the library. Things you can do: 
  • Design 3D print files
  • Convert VHS to DVD 
  • Convert Vinyl to CD or MP3
  • Edit photos
  • Record and edit Audio
  • Record and edit Video
Patrons that attend this orientation can schedule time to use our equipment at a later date. 
 The Learning Lab equipment is only available to FPLD Cardholders age 13+.

Beginner Improv Class for Adults

This month's selection is The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Intended for young adult audiences, this book appeals to mature audiences as well. When Starr witness her friend shot by police it ignites a Black Lives Matter controversy. Copies of the book will be made available to check out at the library one month prior to the meeting date.

Holiday Karaoke

Winter is coming and the holidays are upon us. Why not mark the occasion by joining others for the joy of song? Singing releases endorphins, the brain's "feel good" chemicals which is something all of us could use especially this time of the year. Bring your family, friends, neighbors or perhaps just yourself to participate in this fun holiday group karaoke! You will be singing with others so there is no pressure. You can also come just to have a listen.

Yoga for Holiday Stress with Gina Slager

Beat the Holiday Stress with yoga, breath, meditation and deep relaxation.  Come away feeling renewed and present so you can enjoy the holidays. Master Hatha Yoga instructor, Gina Slager, will be your guide. Please bring a yoga mat or towel to participate in this dynamic experience. Spa water will be available. Open to all levels. No experience necessary.

Gina is a certified yoga teacher, self-empowerment coach, singer and songwriter. She completed her yoga teacher training at the Temple of Kriya Yoga (Chicago). Since then, Gina's participated in numerous yoga workshops, performed numerous kirtans at many venues, and has been teaching yoga for two decades.

Make a Custom Reflective Iron-on Decal
