Last week, I had the pleasure of speaking to students at Chelsea Intermediate. Over the course of 4 days, I spoke to 850 students about the Frankfort Library's summer reading program (DREAM BIG!), booktalked some of my favorite books, and wished them luck on their attempt at breaking the world record for minutes read over the summer.
I had so much fun, and I almost wish that I could do it every week. Except...I don't think my voice would thank me for it. Thanks to Mrs. Watt, Chelsea's most excellent librarian for letting me invade her space for a few days, and thank you to the students at Chelsea School for being awesome listeners, interested participants and, above all, enthusiastic readers.I can't wait to visit again so that I can share more of my favorite reads with you!
Follow the link below, and you'll find a list of all the books I talked about. And if you come into the library, you'll find a display of these books along with other record-breaking summer reads!
Happy Reading!!!
