You will notice that certain authors are not available in Media On Demand. Due to publisher restrictions, we are not able to offer you ebooks published by Simon & Schuster and Macmillan. New titles published by Hachette Book Group, Penguin and Brilliance Audio are no longer offered to libraries.
Additionally, Penguin (NAL, Berkley, Dutton, Riverhead, Viking, Dial Young Readers, Philomel, Putnam, and Speak) is restricting how ebooks are downloaded to devices. Their titles must be downloaded to a computer, then transferred via a USB cable to a moble device.
HarperCollins has put a 26-checkout limit on their titles. That means that once a title has been checked out 26 times, it is no longer available and must be repurchased.
If you would like to see an author's book available as an eBook or eAudiobook in the library, you can write to or call each publisher to register your opinion. For your convenience, the addresses are provided below.
