Sure, You might be thinking….”UGH… not another Best Of List!”
Ever since 2012 began, it’s understandable. We’ve all been bombarded with annual ‘Best of 2011’ lists of books, music, movies and other media.
This list, however, comes straight from the brains of the teens that serve on Frankfort Library’s Teen Advisory Board, or, TAB. The TAB is an organization that meets once a month to brainstorm with library staff to put together awesome programs for teens and complete various projects around the library.
If you are in grades 6-12, and are in need of volunteer hours, then TAB might be for you! We meet on the 3rd Monday of every month from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the library. Stop by the Youth Reference Desk to pick up an application and bring it to the next meeting on Monday, January 16th! It’s as simple as that! It’s even on day off school, so come on in and see what the TAB is up to.
At our last meeting on Monday, December 19th, the TAB compiled a list of some of their favorite book releases of 2011. Take a look-see at this list, and you might find some great winter reads to bring you out of that mid-winter slump!
